East to Targu Mureș
On Monday, we drove 6 hours from Arad to Targu Mureș. We met with their core group to help them prepare to launch this fall. Pastor Doru Hriscu just completed the Harvest Training Center this spring, and he is moving to Targue Mureș in a few weeks. Their core group has been meeting for a few years already, so they are highly motivated and eager to launch. Pray that they find a building and grow the team in the months ahead.
On Tuesday, we took a walking tour of Targu Mureș with Pastor Doru, Pastor Cristi from Brasov, and Ionica, who is in charge of the training center in Romania. They showed us the city hall, some well-known buildings and churches and told us the history of this city. Targu Mureș is a uniquely diverse city, in both religion and culture. Close to half of the population is Hungarian. Most of the country is Orthodox, but there are many Lutherans, Seventh Day Adventists and Catholics. Evangelicals are a minority in Romania, making up just 1% of the population.

Pastor Ryan and Mike spent the day with Pastor Doru and men from his Core Group. They encouraged and trained this group as they prepare to launch a new Harvest church in Targu Mures.
