Early Sunday morning as you were still sleeping, Matt Van Dyke and Peter Glanvil were awake and worshiping Christ in Uganda. The sounds of drums and the sight of joyful Christians dancing filled the church.
Matt and Peter are in Uganda to spend time with the people at Kyampisi Community Church (it's pronounced champ - easy). This church is going to transition and become Harvest Bible Chapel Kyampisi in 2017. Pastor Moses and Pastor Peter will be coming to Chicago in September to attend the Harvest Training Center for Church Planting. As our church looks for ways to get more involved in missions and church planting, Uganda is an area that we want to pursue.
On Sunday morning, Matt and Peter Glanvil were picked up at their hotel by Pastor Moses and went to Kyampisi for church. Matt said, "church was amazing and had heartfelt worship, prayer time, and testimonials. The choir is awesome! We need more dancing and drums." Pastor Peter from Kyampisi led a tour of a possible new location for the church, their rehab center, and gave a full overview of the ministry there. Matt and Peter Glanvil also got to go to Pastor Moses' house for a fruit party.
Check out some pictures below and stay tuned for more updates this week from Matt and Peter!
