Team Raleigh Update!

On Saturday we left at 7:30 from Harvest Palos and arrived in Raleigh 14 hours later. The travel was safe, fun, and memorable. A highlight for many was laughing together and driving through the mountains of West Virginia.

Sunday we had devotions as a team in the morning and headed out to parks, pools, and malls in the area and distributed invitations to every family we saw that had kids with them. Even though it probably wasn't completely accurate, the van indicated an outside temp between 104-111 degrees!

We united with Harvest Raleigh for a worship service, pizza and junglefied the whole church building. Pastor Mike invited the whole team from Palos up to the front to celebrate our partnership with them to reach kids with the gospel. We were able to meet their leaders and members and work along side of them decorating the church for the week ahead. Each one of their small groups decorated a part of the church, and it is all ready to go for tonight.

Today we will continue to get ready for the worship rally's, skits, games, and crafts to make sure everything runs smoothly on night one. Others are shopping for more materials, game supplies, and putting advertisements on area park sidewalks.

It has been great to see the individual gifting of each student and what they bring to the team. God has gifted this team to do great things in His name this week, and we rely upon God to do the work of directing hearts to His Son.
